TriVita Health — While Josh serves America in Iraq, TriVita serves his need to stay healthy
Many of us get stressed out by such small things as getting stuck in traffic or watching our favorite sports team lose a game. But few of us have to endure the level of daily stress that the men and women in the military go through every day – especially those who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. And how about the stateside families who try to live normal lives while their loved ones are in danger?
One such person is Josh, who just completed his second tour of duty in Iraq. A six-year veteran, he enlisted after college to fight terrorism. The 9/11 events had a huge impact on him and he felt it was his generation’s duty to come to the aid of their country. “I’m proud of my service in the U.S. Army, Special Operations and feel honored to serve this great nation,” Josh says. He and his wife, Kate, are looking forward to the birth of their baby in July.
What Josh does to stay healthy
Like so many of us, Josh tries to eat the right foods and take nutritional supplements. This becomes extremely difficult in Iraq where soldiers don’t always have access to nutritious foods and fresh fruits and vegetables – especially when they are far away from their “home base.” Luckily, Kate and her mom regularly send Josh “CARE” packages packed with TriVita products.
Dr. Libby’s Vital C Crystals and Tablets help maintain his immunity during his constantly stressful situation. These products also play a key role in flushing impurities from Josh’s system. He adds Optima4® to his shake every morning to give himself a much-needed boost of energy and more mental clarity for 15-hour days. “Of course,” says Josh, “This is very important when I’m on life and death missions.” Digestive Complex™ with its eight food-grade enzymes helps ensure complete digestion. Other members of Josh’s platoon have become curious about his continued good health and he has generously shared TriVita products with them.
Good health begins at home
Kate also makes sure she maintains her good health while Josh is overseas. “I use Sublingual B-12 consistently because it is good for me and helps with mental clarity,” she says. “I also take Vital C and that’s a big reason I haven’t been sick for over a year. Both Josh and I are very active and we also keep at least two jars of Quick-Relief™ Gel on hand. This product helps tremendously with muscle aches and pains.”
The psychological strain of Josh’s long absences can be hard for the entire family. Says Kate, “The important thing is to stay busy. I plan several activities with friends weekly, because it’s important to have something to look forward to. I’ve been so fortunate because friends and family have visited while Josh has been away, and it’s always nice to have the company for a few days at a time.”
TriVita is “all in the family”
Kate’s mom, Sue, is an Affiliate Member who has risen to the Director level. All of her siblings are Affiliate Members; her oldest brother just graduated from medical school and her youngest brother is in osteopathic medical school. They both use TriVita supplements, especially Sublingual B-12 and Vital C. Kate’s sister, Christian was featured in the Affiliate Member version of the March 2009 VitaJournal. Her dad takes several TriVita supplements; her grandmother is a healthy 86 thanks to her daily regimen of Vital C, Sublingual B-12 and VitaCal-Mag D™.
“Our entire family loves TriVita food supplements,” Kate concludes. “We’re very grateful that they’ve helped keep Josh and his entire family healthy during his tour of duty in Iraq.”
TriVita would like to thank all the men and women who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces.
